Chair, Suzanne Klein Wolterink

Dear Babylonians,

I am Suzanne Klein Wolterink and I am super proud to fulfil the position of Chair in the thirtieth board of (SV) Babylon. I am 21 years old and I am a fourth-year Communication and Information Studies student. Originally I am from a little town in the middle of The Netherlands, called Woudenberg, but I have been living in Nijmegen for the past three years. Since I love studying in Nijmegen, I decided to add an extra year to my bachelor and join the thirtieth board of Babylon. I have always been an active member. Over the past three years I have been a part of the Orientation Week Committee, the Prom Committee and the Lustrum Committee. I am super enthusiastic to be a part of the thirtieth board of Babylon and I am excited to celebrate an amazing lustrum year!

Currently, I live on the ‘city-island’, called Veur-Lent. Within twenty meters reach from the Waal and the beach. Here I live together with four other lovely girls and I wouldn’t change it for the world. To earn some money, I work at Julia’s at the train station. Here I brew coffee, make sandwiches and cook pasta for people who are in a hurry to catch the train.

In my spare-time I try to go to Woudenberg every Saturday to play to most typical Dutch sport, korfball. I used to play on a fairly high level, but due to me loving the student life, I decided to join a team where having fun is more important than winning.  Furthermore, I like to go to the gym and I love to travel. In my third year I have studied in Málaga, Spain. This has been the best half a year of my life and I am planning to stay abroad for a longer period of time again in the future.

Being the Chair of Babylon, I will be ultimately responsible for all the activities organised by Babylon. I will realise my tasks with a lot of devotion and enthusiasm. I hope to make as many members as possible as excited about Babylon as I am. Our association has given me a bunch of great moments and great people and I hope to be able to give this to our members as well. If you have any questions or just want to hang out, you can always talk to me or stop by the Babylon Room. I am always in for a chat!

Cheers, Suzanne
